Dear Dr. van der Plank and team,

Thank you so much for making our experience so happy.

My daughter was struggling a bit with the notoriety that went with having fallen at Councillor Camp and broken her wrist. Having just been elected to the position, I think she felt that it was a bit of a sad start to her matric year.

However, having always marched to the beat of her own drum, she felt it would be somehow “cooler” if she could return to school wearing a brightly coloured cast. She was a little disappointed when your team told her that it was a “grown-up” practice and only had white casting material in stock.

We were therefore totally delighted (and I could see that you were surprised) when they produced a roll of bright pink at the casting stage. It transpired that while we were talking to you, they had phoned a paediatric practice and found it for Harriet.

Thank you to you and your team for turning a broken bone into a colourful reason to smile. You all went beyond the call of duty!

Regards

Lori Bentley
